After the US company Neocis announced Yumi, the first robotic dental assistent in April 2017, experts around the globe started asking the question wether robots in the future could replace human dentists ?
The answer arrives from China. In the city of Xiang, a robot performed an independent dental surgery for the first time. The robot dentist was developed on the Beihang University in Beijing, and, considering the lack of qualified dentists in China, should enter production soon.
Beside the surgery done by a robot, the implants were produced by a 3D printer.
